Job Summary:
Responsible for performing reception and clerical functions at the nursing station, coordinating patient care activities with other departments—including programming, answering call lights, arranging transport services—and supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients. Performs audits, stocks supplies and forms, and supports unit communication, EMR tasks, performance improvement compliance, medical records upkeep, unit environment and efficiency.

Responsibilities
Perform reception and clerical functions at the nursing station.
Coordinate patient care activities with other departments, including programming, answering call lights, and arranging transport services.
Stock supplies and forms, conduct audits.
Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients.
Maintain unit communication, EMR functions, performance improvement compliance, medical records, unit environment, and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
No minimum education required.
Recent experience working in a similar setting.
Ability to utilize relevant medical terminology.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Commitment to excellence in patient care.
Professionalism and accountability.
Support performance improvement and evidence‑based practice within scope.
Basic understanding of technology and federal regulations for patient privacy.
Support unit leadership with additional tasks as assigned.
Remain organized and complete job duties.
Anticipate unit needs and follow through to ensure they are met.
Interact and maintain communication with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using electronic medical records systems.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Experience at MOSC or HUSC.
Compensation Hourly rate: $27.97 - $34.78 (Salary Grade 282). Staff: Career position, 100% on‑site. Shift: 14:45–23:15. Location: Main Hospital (HSP001).
