Join to apply for the Buckeye Nurse Residency Program role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. The Buckeye Nurse Residency Program provides support for the new graduate nurse as they transition from nursing student to professional clinician. Our program is a full-time, 6-month program with cohorts added monthly. The program provides nurse residents with opportunities to develop critical thinking skills related to clinical practice and safe patient care. The program is designed to develop new nurses as leaders and productive health care team members as they advance from novice to competent nurse. Locations include University Hospital, Ross Heart Hospital, East Hospital, Brain & Spine Hospital, Dodd Hospital, and Harding Hospital. Responsibilities

Provide patient care as part of a care team, supporting positive patient outcomes and patient involvement in the plan of care. Assess, prescribe, implement, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate nursing care for patients. Support and supervise other members of the patient care team; provide leadership to the team. Qualifications

Graduate from a CCNE- or ACEN-accredited nursing program. Current licensure or interim permit as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. Previous experience in a relevant care setting preferred; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Background check and drug screen may be required post-offer.
