The Nurse Manager is responsible for full unit operation including, interviewing, hiring, and termination process. staffing, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for psychiatric and chemically dependent patients for the designated unit and, responsible for the operational and programmatic management of the designated shift; and assist in the professional growth and development of nursing staff, and direct supervision in the respective unit, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations. This position is responsible for planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employee; addressing complaints and resolving problems when needed.

Requirements Qualifications Education/Training
Graduate of accredited school of nursing - BSN preferred
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably six (6) months in psychiatric nursing
Combination of education and years of experience can substitute for degree requirement
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent
Experience
Some experience in working with mental health population is required.
Knowledge of MS4 a plus
