Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for industrial and commercial electrical projects, including power plants, utility infrastructure, and manufacturing facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, labor productivity, material pricing, and subcontractor/vendor coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop complete electrical estimates.
Perform detailed take-offs for materials, equipment, and labor requirements.
Solicit and analyze quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
Develop budgets, cost breakdowns, and proposals in alignment with company standards.
Identify scope gaps, risks, and value-engineering opportunities.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field leadership to align estimates with execution strategies.
Maintain historical cost data and update pricing databases.
Support business development and pre-construction efforts by preparing conceptual and budgetary estimates as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience estimating electrical construction projects (industrial, power generation, utility, or manufacturing sectors preferred).
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and installation practices.
Proficiency with Accubid estimating software required; familiarity with Bluebeam or Procore is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a background check and drug screening.
