Renewyx is representing a nationally recognized EPC known for delivering top-tier solutions in the power delivery sector. With a growing footprint in utility-scale Solar & BESS projects, they’re widely recognized for their technical depth, collaborative culture, and commitment to quality. Their Houston office is expanding to meet the demands of a growing project portfolio in the region.

They are seeking a Civil Engineer with at least 3 years of civil engineering experience and a strong track record supporting large substation projects. This role requires an experienced professional who can lead site civil design efforts, collaborate with third parties and engineers of record, and ensure project deliverables meet both client expectations and regulatory standards. Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D is essential, along with strong communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in power delivery or utility infrastructure

Extensive experience supporting large high-voltage substation projects (greenfield and brownfield)

Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D for grading, drainage, and site layout design

Strong understanding of hydrology, erosion control, and stormwater management principles

Familiarity with permitting processes and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

Ability to lead site development design including access roads, foundations, and equipment pads

Experience coordinating with engineers of record (EORs), utility clients, and permitting agencies

Skilled in preparing construction drawing packages and civil engineering reports

Capable of conducting site visits and providing technical support during construction

Strong project management and task coordination skills across multi-disciplinary teams

Preffered Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil Engineering
