Overview

Leads employees in performing a wide variety of production operations. Determines work assignments, delegates tasks, and trains and corrects employees in their production related tasks. Ensures continuous workflow. Responsibilities

Print dispatch and review for accuracy and priority. Prioritize and schedule department workload and delegate work to meet dispatch, planning and customer requirements. Assist and oversee all work completed in department. Provide manager with status of workload, recommits (late from shop) for production meetings, meeting all internal ship dates. Make commitments with manager for aircraft on ground (AOG), less-than-lead-time orders, first run hardware (FRH), and reworks. Assist with answering internal and customer driven Corrective Action Requests (CARs) by performing an investigation and determining root causes of the defect and accurately document this information. Train new employees in assembly and test process. Identify, communicate and assist in troubleshooting design issues with engineering. Attend FRH meetings and submit suggestions or address potential problems. Identify and maintain all fixtures and tooling required for assembly and test. Work with manufacturing engineer daily on process improvements, documenting anything that results. Oversee all jobs to ensure they are moved correctly into ERP system. Create new routing for FRH, review and maintain current routings for time and accuracy, making changes as needed. Order supplies for assembly and test. Work with sales and engineering to assist in meeting customer demand. Review with manager for employee paid time off requests, to ensure balanced workload. Review employee performance annually and as needed, addressing and documenting errors and other performance related issues in a timely and effective manner. Assist manager in completing quarterly and annual goals. Communicate goals to employees and ensure the completion of all objectives in a time and cost-effective manner. Assist manager with budget proposal and ensure that budget is adhered to. Seek, implement, and document lean process improvement. Qualifications

Education/Experience High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Advanced Hydraulics certification and four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) with 3-5 years related lead/supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Good command of the English language, both written and spoken. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, safety regulations, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reviews, written counseling, business correspondence, and procedure instructions. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, employees, and the public. Math Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Skills Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form. Computer/ Office Skills Basic windows/internet browser; ERP/Inventory; Blueprint Reading; Hydraulics Certification; HRIS Systems; Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Power Point; Typing Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands Frequent activities: Standing, sitting, walking, typing, handling objects, reaching, talking/hearing, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 10 lbs. Occasional: lifting/pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs, stooping, kneeling, crouching. Rare: climbing/balancing, lifting/pushing/pulling heavy weights (50-100+ lbs). Vision Requirements Frequent close vision and computer work; occasional color vision, peripheral vision, and focus adjustments; rare distance vision and depth perception. Work Environment Frequent exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and moderate noise; occasional exposure to vibration and loud-to-very loud noise; rare exposure to high places, outdoor weather, electrical shock, very quiet environments. Compensation and Benefits Offered

Actual base salary offered to the selected applicant will be based on location, qualifications, job-related skills, education, and training experience.
