Overview

RMA Repair Technician role at Crissair Inc. Performs any and all repair operations of incoming customer returns (RMA’s) within the department. Tests completed assemblies per related documents using specialized tools. Refers to technical drawings and written instructions such as Assembly & Test Procedures (ATP’s) and/or Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM’s) as required. Responsible for the disassembly, re-assembly, rework/repair and re-test of rejected parts returning from customers. Job Duties And Responsibilities

Perform Millipore sampling, test as received, dis-assemble, clean, rework/repair as required, re-assemble and re-test all valves returned to Crissair by Manager with the help of Assembly and Test leads or Senior RMA coordinator. Set up tests as required. Read pressure gauges and flow meters and accurately log data to ATP requirements. Capture data of all incoming returns to define the scope of work for each RMA. Apply lock wire, sealants and torque seal as required by blueprints and work instructions. Follow daily RMA dispatch reports and other directions from Management. Install internal components using arbor press and proper fixtures. Identify causes for test failures, rework, and suggest corrective action (Submit to Manager for approval). Provide manager/Senior RMA coordinator with detailed analysis and test results in support of Corrective Action Requests. Must be able to troubleshoot confirmed failures of any and all customer returns. Seek and document lean ideas to improve efficiency in the department. Notify Manager of any equipment that requires repair. Keep workstation and test equipment clean and free of debris (F.O.D.). Properly handle and dispose of chemicals used. Maintain safety standards and use safety equipment as required. Identify any routings discrepancy and notify Manager/Senior RMA coordinator so changes can be made if necessary. Complete assigned jobs performing assembly, test set-up, and test of RMAs with the help of Senior RMA coordinator or A&T leads. Read, interpret and understand blueprints, ATPs and CMMs. Assist other departments (Inspection) when requested by Management. Willing to learn inspection techniques with additional training to assist as required. Create evaluation and test results on teardown reports using Microsoft Word. Update and maintain RMA Log using Microsoft Excel. Create failure analysis reports/power point presentations when required. Qualification Requirements

Education/Experience High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 2-4 years related experience Strong knowledge of hydraulic principles and systems Language Skills Good command of the English language, both written and spoken. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write in simple correspondence. Ability to present information regarding failure analysis/evaluations of all incoming RMAs to Management, Customers and other employees. Math Skills Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Skills Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagrams such as Drawings, ATPs, CMMs and/or work orders. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer/Office Skills Basic Windows/Internet browser ERP/Inventory Blueprint Reading Hydraulics Certification Must be able to read and interpret ATPs and/or CMMs Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands: Frequent standing, sitting, walking, typing, handling objects, reaching, talking/hearing; lifting/pushing/pulling up to 10 lbs (frequent); up to 25 lbs (occasional); 50–100+ lbs (rare). Vision Requirements: Close vision (frequent); color, peripheral vision, computer work and focus adjustments (occasional); distance vision and depth perception (rare). Work Environment: Mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, moderate-to-loud noise (frequent); vibration and very loud noise (occasional); high places, outdoor weather, electrical shock, very quiet to quiet noise (rare). Base hourly rate range: Minimum $24.71 - Maximum $29.65. Actual base salary offered based on location, qualifications, and experience.
