Responsibilities
Live our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled; oversee the pharmacy and serve as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts without overlap.
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and using safety guardrails at every workstation.
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty.
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and coaching the pharmacy team to do the same; collaborate with the patient’s total healthcare team and proactively resolve insurance and/or medication issues.
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize.
Support effective management of pharmacy inventory across pharmacies, with emphasis on protecting cold chain products.
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs while contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic.
Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills and actively seek opportunities to expand knowledge to support patients.
Support access to care and patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care (e.g., testing and prescribing services where permissible).
Understand and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, and CVS Health policies to support patient safety and a safe workplace.
Required Qualifications
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Essential Functions
Ability to travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as needed
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention and Focus:
Concentrate on a task over a period of time
Pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs
Confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety
Customer Service and Team Orientation:
Help people in a friendly manner
Notice and understand patients’ reactions and respond appropriately
Communication Skills:
Interact with patients and colleagues using verbal and written communication
Practice active listening and ask questions as appropriate
Mathematical Reasoning:
Use math to determine quantities, days’ supply, and bottle counts
Problem Resolution:
Identify challenging interactions and choose appropriate actions
Physical Demands:
Be mobile and stand for extended periods; lift, scan, and bag items
Reach, grasp, type, and perform fine motor tasks; occasional lifting up to 20 lbs
Close visual acuity for computer work and reading
Other duties as directed by Supervisor or Manager
Preferred Qualifications
1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting

Logistics Anticipated Weekly Hours: 15
Time Type: Part time
Pay Range: The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $60.00 - $74.00 per hour. The actual base salary offer will depend on factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
