Overview
Under the direction of the Director of Food Services, the Wellness & Nutrition Manager serves as the Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist (RDN) for the District’s Food Services Program and ensures the nutritional quality and compliance of school meals within the district. This position is responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing menus that meet the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and California Department of Education (CDE) guidelines. The Wellness & Nutrition Manager will also assist with the supervision of cafeteria operations and lead the district\'s wellness committee, driving the development and implementation of wellness policies that promote the health and well-being of students and staff. Education:
Possession of a Bachelor\'s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification issued by the California Commission on Dietetic Registration. Certification in food safety and sanitation (e.g., ServSafe). Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in school nutrition programs, food service management, nutritional analysis, or a related area. Strong knowledge of the NSLP, CDE, and other relevant guidelines/regulations. License Requirements:
Possession of a valid California driver’s license. Application Process
