Overview
Optimus Health Care is seeking a Physician Assistant to join its Community Health Adult clinic in Bridgeport, CT. The PA provides assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient needs as a member of an interdisciplinary team, in accordance with CT state law. Optimus Health Care offers an integrated, team-based model of care in a 100% outpatient setting with locations in Bridgeport, Stratford, and Stamford.

Responsibilities The Physician Assistant (PA) provides assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient needs as a member of an interdisciplinary team. The PA works in collaboration with the attending supervising/collaborating physician(s) in accordance with CT state law.
Qualifications
Experience: Experienced in pediatric and adult medicine. Familiarity with Tele-Medicine and prior experience a plus.
Language Skills: Bi-lingual skills in Spanish preferred
Licensure / Certification: Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Connecticut. Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. CPR certification required upon hire and recertification bi-annually.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of medical care to give and evaluate patient care. Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations, and procedures to administer patient care. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques to provide ongoing patient care. Skill in taking medical history to assess medical condition and interpret findings. Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence using current electronic media. Skill in developing and maintaining quality control/assurance standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to communicate clearly.
