Psychologist (Clinical)
in East Windsor, CT. The ideal candidate will be able to conduct psychological assessments and associated report writing in a 34-hour work week.
Position Highlights
PCN 105485 Part-time | 1st shift | 34 Hours per week Monday – Thursday | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Responsibilities
Participate in and coordinate clinical psychological services for a complex ward or group of wards or comparable units staffed by psychiatric, nursing or other individual care personnel Provide consultation on difficult cases representing complex intellectual, emotional and/or social problems Engage in diagnostic and psychotherapeutic services Attend staff meetings Coordinate psychological treatment modalities with other disciplines and services Develop and implement new service programs Conduct research and report findings in a manner suitable for professional publication Consult with community agencies and organizations Conduct training sessions for interns and staff and may participate in training of psychiatric residents May address lay and professional groups Perform related duties as required

Minimum Qualifications
General Experience:
A doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology and one (1) year of post-doctoral experience as a psychologist working under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with adolescents in psychiatric settings Experience working with multicultural and diverse populations Experience supervising graduate level psychology students Experience conducting comprehensive Fire-setting, Problematic Sexual Behavior, and/or Violence risk psychological evaluations Experience conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations of children and adolescents
Special Requirements
Incumbents must possess and retain a license to practice psychology in Connecticut Eligibility for participation in federal health care programs as defined in 42 U.S.C. May be fluent in a foreign language or proficient in American Sign Language May be required to travel
Working Conditions
May be required to lift and restrain individuals; may have exposure to communicable diseases and risk of injury from assaultive individuals; may be exposed to disagreeable conditions.
