Part Time Shift

: Days - (Weekdays - 6:30am - 3pm), (Every 4th weekend - 7am - 7:30p) (32 hours per week) The community you'll be caring for

: AdventHealth Waterman - 1000 WATERMAN WAY, Tavares, 32778 The Role You'll Contribute Responsible for interpreting provider orders and prescriptions, and compounding and dispensing medications. This position explains the use of medications and potential drug interactions, and provides drug information to patients, healthcare workers, and others as necessary. Other expectations include overseeing and supervising pharmacy technicians and other supporting staff. The Value You'll Bring To The Team Interprets prescription and medication orders accurately and clarifies any uncertainties to be sure safe and effective patient care. Monitors drug utilization to detect potential interactions, overlaps, dosing issues, and other unique situations. Participates in Code Blue and other emergency situations to ensure adequate drug supply and appropriate drug use. Supervises pharmacy technicians and supporting staff, directing workflow and ensuring completion of duties. Compounds medications safely and accurately, meeting regulatory and record-keeping requirements. Minimum Qualifications Doctorate degree Licensed Pharmacist (RPH) Preferred Qualifications 1 hospital experience strongly preferred Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
