Radiology CT Technologist Team. Responsibilities
Under general supervision of the Radiologist, perform CT procedures to acquire digital images for physician diagnosis and treatment. Plan and perform CT procedures and post-processing using advanced technology based on clinical criteria, anatomy, and established protocols. Ensure the CT protocol selection adheres to guidelines and that dose data is compiled with alerts if scans exceed preset levels. Operate CT scanners, power injectors and computer systems to acquire images for radiologists. Maintain knowledge to operate different CT systems at multiple locations. Maintain protocols aligned with Image Gently Guidelines and dose-tracking programs. Maintain knowledge of clinical histories to select appropriate protocols; demonstrate knowledge of thoracic, abdominal, pelvic, neuro, and musculoskeletal systems. Obtain CT images according to established protocols; ensure patient preparation, positioning, immobilization, shielding where applicable, and correct technical factors. Perform CT interventional procedures and CTA imaging (carotid, head, vertebral, run-offs, critical bolus timing) including advanced studies such as TAVR, EVAR, and cardiac imaging. Maintain pharmacology knowledge to ensure any required labs are obtained prior to scheduled exams; apply physiology and physics knowledge to optimize scans and minimize patient dose. Interpret technical factors to improve image quality or speed as needed. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. All job-specific obligations and organization policies apply. Education: Graduate from Specialty Training Program (Required). Certification & Licenses: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) within 12 months. Our Purpose & Values
