Overview
A patient coordinator administers the daily desk operations to ensure excellent customer service and front-end operations in the Specialty clinics for both patients and students while meeting educational and fiscal goals. This position strives to make each phase of treatment a very positive experience for all patients from the initial phone call on through the delivery of care to completion. Job Location:

Full-Time/Regular Responsibilities
Answer all incoming calls and direct as needed. Check messages and return calls. Greet all scheduled patients, check them in as arrivals, and notify their doctors. Actively listen to patient concerns, provide feedback, recommend solutions, and escalate to supervisors to resolve issues as needed. Schedule appointments ensuring continuity of care. Assist patients with coordination of department referrals. Answer treatment, billing, and benefit questions. Triage emergency patients. Provide support to each student with their patient care management issues to allow focus on delivery of patient care. Carry out established business practices and policies and procedures set forth by the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Qualifications
High School or GED diploma required. Vocational training or some college desirable. At least 1–3 years of work experience, preferably in customer service. Prior work experience in a dental setting or medical facility highly desired. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a busy clinical setting and manage multiple tasks and demands with strong prioritization and team skills.
