Overview

Utilizes nursing process and knowledge of scientific principles to provide comprehensive, age appropriate nursing care for low acuity assigned patients. Assists with the shift supervision of nonprofessional personnel as necessary. Get to know 6 Hall! 6 Hall is a 16-bed, general medical/surgical unit that specializes in infectious diseases. When isolation is required, any room on the unit can be used. There are two special isolation rooms, equipped with ante-rooms and special ventilation capabilities, which can be used for airborne-transmitted diseases. Patients range in age from neonates to 18 years. We occasionally treat young adults. Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate plan of care for the low acuity patient and family which promotes optimal patient outcomes. Meets the educational and informational needs of the low acuity patient and family, utilizing appropriate principles of teaching/learning. Promotes safe, efficient, family-centered care to low acuity patients. Delegates nursing care based on knowledge of staff qualifications/competency and patient care requirements. Qualifications

Associate’s Degree ADN Required. Current employees hired before September 1, 2013 are grandfathered and permitted to continue in the direct care nursing role. and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training Bachelor’s Degree Preferred for all nurses hired after September 1, 2013. Nurses hired after this date without a BSN, must complete their degree within 5 years of their hire date. One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire Specialty Certification relevant to unit’s patient population (determined by Nurse Manager/Director) Preferred Benefits

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $31.50/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience. Remote Work/Work from Home
