Responsibilities
As a Safety Coordinator, your key responsibility will be to manage and enforce Wilhelm's Safety Program for the assigned project(s) by identifying, eliminating and controlling hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage. By using and enforcing job specific safety standards, best management practices, and Wilhelm's safety program, the Safety Coordinator shall ensure the safety of all persons and property on the job site resulting in an accident/incident free project.
Enforce safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all State, Federal, Local regulations (including OSHA), as well as Wilhelm company policies and owner/contractual requirements.
Conduct daily and/or weekly (as appropriate or specified by job) job site inspections, and record observations and complete required reports.
Conduct weekly toolbox safety meetings and safety orientations for new employees, and document content and attendance.
Advise project staff on site-specific safety issues/guidelines.
Evaluate the need for safety training and make recommendations.
Enforce compliance with state, federal, and local regulations (including OSHA) and Wilhelm policies and owner/contractual requirements.
Conduct daily/weekly job site inspections and document observations with required reports.
Investigate, corroborate, document, and follow up on all accidents, incidents, and near misses on the job site, and implement corrective actions.

What It Takes
Thorough knowledge of construction methods and OSHA standards.
OSHA 30 Certification
5-10 years safety experience in construction or similar industry.
3+ years in Industrial, Cast-In-Place, and Commercial construction - REQUIRED
Basic working knowledge of MS Office and Windows.
