Overview
F.A. Wilhelm Construction is seeking a Safety Coordinator to manage and enforce Wilhelm's Safety Program for the assigned project(s) by identifying, eliminating and controlling hazards to prevent injury and/or property damage. The Safety Coordinator shall ensure safety of all persons and property on the job site, aiming for an accident/incident free project. Responsibilities
Conduct weekly toolbox safety meetings and document content and attendance. Conduct safety orientation for new employees. Advise project staff on site-specific safety issues and guidelines. Evaluate the need for safety training and make recommendations. Enforce safe work practices and conditions in accordance with all state, federal, local regulations (including OSHA), Wilhelm policies, and owner/contractual requirements. Conduct daily and/or weekly job site inspections as appropriate or specified by the project. Record observations from site inspections and complete required reports. Investigate, corroborate, document all accidents, incidents, and near misses on the jobsite. Recommend and implement corrective action based on policies, guidelines, and laws. Key Attributes

Thorough knowledge of construction methods and OSHA standards OSHA 30 Certification 3+ years safety experience in construction or a related industry Must have 3+ years in Industrial, Cast-In-Place, and Commercial construction (REQUIRED) Basic working knowledge of MS Office and Windows Benefits
