Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS Essential Duties As a part of the Sunrise team, support of our Mission, Principles of Service and Core Values is fundamental. The role includes the following essential functions: Customer Service Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents; extend a warm welcome; offer beverages; ensure community safety protocols are in place. Contact the DOS, ED, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and minimize wait times. Greet potential candidates and direct them to apply online or capture candidate information into the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to start recruitment. Answer incoming telephone calls and resident calls within 2–3 rings with the appropriate greeting and identification. Take complete messages with pertinent information and communicate messages to the intended recipient. Provide a community overview to callers and forward or transfer as appropriate. Manage appointments for residents and family members (e.g., hairdresser, transportation). Send get-well cards to residents in the hospital; order Memory Flower for residents who have passed away; send sympathy cards as needed. Sales and Marketing Order flowers and name plates for new residents prior to move-in; arrange guest meals for move-in day. Create and maintain marketing/move-in packet inventory. Support the DOS by handling initial inquiry calls with potential families and residents; encourage and build interest in Sunrise. Assist the DOS with CRM lead tracking entry, if applicable. Perform other administrative duties related to the resident move-in process. Front Desk and Bistro Areas Keep desk/entry area neat and organized; monitor Bistro for cleanliness; ensure refreshments are available and music is played; restock as necessary. Ensure coverage at the front desk when stepping away from duties. Risk Management Partner with the team to ensure compliance with applicable health and safety regulations; promote risk management programs and policies. Practice safety procedures including PPE, fire extinguishers, SDS, and Lockout Tagout as applicable. Maintain Resident and Team Member Rosters and current work schedules for emergencies. Support Safe Leaving Program and Sunrise Service Standards; respond to emergencies per Sunrise policies. Ensure guests and residents sign in/out; maintain a high-risk elopement list with photos at the front desk. Monitor entry/exit of residents. Administrative Update resident phone lists/roster daily; manage move-in/move-out registers and guest/sign-in logs. Prepare meal tickets and tally meal count sheets; collect and account for meal payments per internal controls. Distribute mail and newspapers; post daily menu; maintain resident forms for credits as directed. Assist BOC/HR Designee with recruitment data entry and other administrative duties; monitor and order office supplies; track and disburse team member paychecks. Training & Team Success Participate as a team member; uphold Team Member Credo and Principles of Service. Contribute to engagement programs and surveys; attend regular meetings (Town Hall, Department Meetings, Cross Over). Maintain required training compliance as applicable to Sunrise standards; perform other duties as assigned. Core Competencies Ability to handle multiple priorities; strong written and verbal skills; good organizational/time management skills; accurate record keeping; good judgment and problem solving. Experience and Qualifications High School degree/GED; proven customer service experience; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications; ability to learn new applications.
