The Concierge is often the initial contact and first impression that many people have of Sunrise Senior Living. Responsibilities include greeting potential residents, families, and visitors; managing external and internal calls; taking and communicating messages; providing community information to inquiries in support of the Director of Sales (DOS) and Executive Director (ED); assisting the Business Office Coordinator (BOC)/HR Designee with recruitment, computer data entry, and other administrative duties; monitoring the Bistro area for refreshments, cleanliness, music, and a pleasant atmosphere. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Essential Duties As part of the Sunrise team, supporting our Mission, Principles of Service and Core Values is fundamental. The role includes the following core responsibilities: Customer Service Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents; greet warmly; offer beverages; ensure safety protocols are in place. Contact the DOS, ED, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors; minimize wait times. Greet potential candidates, direct them to apply online, or capture candidate information in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Answer incoming calls within 2–3 rings with the appropriate greeting and identification. Take and relay complete messages with pertinent information. Offer a community overview to callers and transfer accordingly. Manage appointments for residents and family members (e.g., hairdresser, transportation). Send get-well cards to residents in the hospital; order Memory Flower for residents who have passed away; send sympathy cards as needed. Sales and Marketing Order flowers and name plates for new residents; arrange guest meals for move-in day. Create and maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory. Support the DOS with initial inquiry calls and encourage interest in Sunrise. Assist the DOS with CRM lead tracking database entry, if applicable. Perform other administrative duties related to the move-in process. Front Desk and Bistro Areas Keep desk and entry area neat and organized. Check Bistro for cleanliness; ensure refreshments are available; maintain the popcorn machine daily and restock as needed. Keep music playing throughout the day. Ensure another team member covers the front desk when stepping away. Risk Management Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and risk management policies. Practice safety procedures including PPE, fire extinguishers, SDS, and Lockout/Tagout. Maintain the Resident Roster, Team Member Roster, and current work schedules for emergencies. Support Safe Leaving Program and Procedures with Community Leadership. Respond to emergencies per Sunrise policies and ensure guests and residents sign in/out; maintain high-risk elopement list with photo at front desk. Administrative Update resident phone lists and rosters daily; manage move-in/move-out registers and guest logs. Prepare and tally meal tickets; handle money according to internal controls. Organize and distribute mail and newspapers; post daily menu; maintain resident forms and coordinate with BOC/HR Designee. Assist recruitment data entry and other general administrative duties; monitor and order office supplies; track and disperse paychecks. Training and Team Success Participate as a team member and contribute to goals; demonstrate team credo in daily interactions; serve residents and guests through Principles of Service. Contribute to engagement programs and surveys; attend regular meetings; maintain training compliance. Perform other duties as assigned. Core Competencies Ability to handle multiple priorities; strong written and verbal communication; good organizational and time management skills; accurate record keeping; sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.
