Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store. Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work. The role of a General Merchandise Expert can provide you with: Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store Experience in retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals Responsibilities
Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs Thank guests and show appreciation for shopping at Target Execute daily tasks assigned by your leader to achieve goals aligned with business priorities including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures Execute processes including changing prices, merchandise setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability Be knowledgeable about resources, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve guest experience Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance Work safely at all times; comply with safety policies and training; report hazards Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking/packing orders, delivering pickup orders) while adhering to laws and compliance requirements All other duties based on business needs What We Are Looking For
