KIPP North Carolina teachers are central to our mission to develop students’ knowledge, skills, and character. Responsibilities include: Instruction Preparation & Delivery:

Review and facilitate curriculum, practice lesson delivery, create exemplar responses, use assessment data to inform instruction, incorporate feedback, and maintain accurate records. Building a Positive School and Classroom Culture:

Embody school values, foster student relationships, communicate regularly with families, participate in school functions, and maintain a welcoming classroom environment. Demonstrate a Growth Mindset:

Collaborate on professional development, seek and incorporate feedback, attend training sessions, and continuously improve pedagogical skills. Required Qualifications

Deep commitment to KIPP NC’s mission and to improving the lives of students from marginalized communities. Valid North Carolina teaching license, or willingness to pursue certification. Bachelor’s degree in English, Secondary Education, or related field. Pass criminal background check. Ability to monitor classrooms actively for 8+ hours and lift 50 lbs as needed. Preferred Qualifications

At least 2 years of high school English teaching experience. Experience in high-performing charter schools or schools with high populations of students on free/reduced lunch. Success in raising achievement for marginalized students. Passing Praxis exams by September 2025. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. Additional Information

Hours: M, Th, & F 7:30am - 3:30pm; Tu & W 7:30am - 5pm. Curriculum and resources provided. Monthly teacher work days include PD and data analysis. KIPP Employee Mindsets
