Achievement Centers for Children

is a Cleveland, Ohio-based non-profit organization recognized nationally for its excellence in helping children with disabilities and their families achieve and thrive. We are currently seeking a Teacher/Intervention Specialist to join our innovative K-12 school for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This position will be hired through the ESC and will work at ACC as part of an interdisciplinary team in a full-day (8:00 am – 4:00 pm) program. Responsibilities include: Leading the classroom team and providing direct instruction to students Developing and implementing prescribed behavior plans Assisting with personal hygiene routines as needed Following students’ IEP goals when substituting in the classrooms Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education Two or more years of experience teaching in a classroom setting with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Training and experience in two or more methodologies incorporated in the Autism School Model (TEACCH, ABA/Discrete Trial, PECS, Social Skills groups, Functional Behavior Assessments)
