is a Cleveland, Ohio-based non-profit organization recognized nationally for its excellence in supporting children with disabilities and their families. We are seeking a Teacher/Intervention Specialist to join our innovative K-12 school for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This full-day position (8:00 am – 4:00 pm) will be hired through the ESC and will work at ACC as part of an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities Include
Leading the classroom team and providing direct instruction to students Developing and implementing prescribed behavior plans Assisting with personal hygiene routines as needed Following students’ IEP goals when substituting in classrooms Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education Current Ohio Intervention Specialist license, K-12 moderate-intensive (preferred) Two or more years of experience teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Training and experience in two or more methodologies used in the Autism School Model (e.g., TEACCH, ABA/Discrete Trial, PECS, Social Skills groups, Functional Behavior Assessments) preferred ESC will be the employer of record, and all relevant ESC benefits will be offered.
