Support the Store Manager in all facets of store operations with minimal supervision. Develop and promote a sales culture by creating individualized and complete solutions for every guest and providing outstanding guest service experiences. Ensure products are easy to see and buy, build sales by sharing product and gaming knowledge with guests, maintain a clean, organized store environment, and grow guest loyalty and repeat business. Supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously, assist with gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend items, and thank guests for shopping at GameStop. Support the shopping environment including visuals, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales. Process guest purchases/returns using the POS system accurately and professionally. Respond to guest questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits such as reservations, trade-ins, and Pro Rewards. Assist with setting guest service expectations and training store associates on policies and procedures. Provide feedback to the Store Manager on associate performance and address issues as directed. Ensure onboarding and training for associates prior to opening or closing shifts; ensure knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocol, and ethics. Schedule store associates per guidelines; manage staffing to maintain high-quality guest service. Approve payroll, enter paid time off, and verify compensation for time worked. Maintain cleanliness and organization of all store areas and ensure equipment is in good working order. Ensure Omni-Channel orders are fulfilled and shipped daily. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; conduct checks at closing as needed and communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support the team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals; perform required administrative duties. Conduct inventory counts, restock merchandise, and ensure proper product placement. Balance and reconcile daily transactions; manage closeout paperwork and daily bank deposits per guidelines. Verify shipments for discrepancies; record issues and communicate with management. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls; label boxes and include packing lists. Maintain associate and guest safety; report injuries per guidelines. Maintain organized store records/files and keep manuals up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to all Store policies and procedures; follow opening and closing procedures. Qualifications
Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Key Job Skills and Abilities
Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills. Provide genuine and individualized assistance to every guest. Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills; English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives. Ability to work independently and in a team; perform tasks in a timely manner. Able to meet attendance, safety, and professional appearance expectations. Operate POS system; basic mathematical and organizational skills. Complete required paperwork and follow instructions in written or diagram form. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Manage pressure and adapt; be a problem solver and reliable. Able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs. May require understanding of military ranks for stores on military bases. Legal and Benefits
