FY26: Teacher, Special Education LAD - Math, Gaithersburg HS, 1.0 FTE at Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS). Responsibilities
Provide direct instruction and instructional support to students with disabilities. Collaborate with the general education teacher to support student learning. Monitor and evaluate outcomes for students with disabilities. Assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Support behavioral interventions as required by MCPS policies and programs. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in special education or related field. Meets Maryland State Department of Education certification requirements for Standard Professional Certification I (SPC I) in special education; certification in a content area is desirable. Two years of teaching experience at the appropriate level (elementary or secondary) or student teaching in the relevant area; knowledge of IEPs, learning theory, differentiated instruction, data collection, and evidence-based practices. Fluent understanding of ESSA, IDEA, and MCPS policies and procedures related to special education; strong communication skills. Ability to adapt instructional programs and materials to meet diverse student needs. Job Details
