ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE: Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store. Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
Experience in retail business fundamentals including: department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement
Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals
Responsibilities
Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
Assist guests in a welcoming way to solve their specific needs.
Thank guests and acknowledge their visit to Target.
Execute tasks assigned by your leader to help achieve goals aligned with business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
Execute processes such as changing prices, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed by leadership.
Learn how procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
Be knowledgeable about resources, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience.
Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
Work safely; comply with safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking/packing orders or delivering pickup orders) while maintaining compliance with laws.
All other duties as needed based on business needs.

Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within established timeframes
Physical and Scheduling Requirements
Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
Climb ladders and handle merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds with or without assistance
Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable attendance
Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions while performing duties
Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
