Our teachers are dynamic leaders, passionate about students, working with families, and engaging with the community. Special Education/ESE Teacher We are looking for a motivated SPED-certified teacher with a proven track record of developing future leaders. You should be passionate about education, committed to building strong relationships, and dedicated to student success. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Teaching in an inclusive classroom alongside a general education teacher Providing resource small group support and 1:1 instruction as needed Employing multisensory teaching strategies tailored to students’ disabilities Implementing modifications and accommodations for instruction and testing Creating IEPs collaboratively with the Child Response Team to ensure high-quality, compliant services Utilizing student IEPs, evaluations, and performance data to deliver effective instruction Conducting annual IEP meetings with the support team Using data to teach to mastery and track student progress Developing action plans for students not meeting goals Communicating progress clearly to stakeholders Participating in school, departmental, and parent meetings and events Must Haves: Belief in every student’s potential Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (transcripts required before employment) Appropriate state teaching certification, in progress or completed At least two years of teaching experience, with a focus on diverse backgrounds Successful classroom teaching record Collaborative attitude towards teaching and learning Nice to Haves: Master’s in Special Education or related field Experience with high-performing charter networks Strong belief in education reform and equitable access to education KIPP Miami offers competitive salaries starting at $55,000 for first-year teachers, with additional performance-based compensation.
