Our elementary school is seeking inspiring teachers to guide our students as they climb the mountain to college and beyond. Our teachers are dynamic leaders both in and outside of their classrooms. They love students, working with families, and the community they serve. Special Education/ ESE Teacher KIPP Miami is seeking a motivated SPED certified teacher with a track record of developing future leaders in our communities. You should be passionate about education and committed to building strong relationships to foster student achievement. Dedication to student success is essential. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Teaching in an inclusion classroom alongside a general education teacher. Providing resource small group support as needed. Offering alternative or parallel teaching to groups and 1:1 instruction as needed. Employing multi-sensory teaching strategies and specialized instruction based on student disabilities. Implementing modifications and accommodations in the classroom and during testing. Creating IEPs in collaboration with the Child Response Team to ensure high-quality, compliant services. Using student IEPs, evaluations, and performance data to deliver targeted services. Collaborating with the support team for annual IEP meetings. Using data to teach to mastery and track student progress. Administering assessments and developing action plans to improve student performance. Communicating progress clearly to stakeholders. Participating in meetings, school events, activities, and programs. Must Haves: A belief in every student’s potential. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (transcripts required before starting). State-approved teaching certification or in process. At least two years of teaching experience, especially with diverse backgrounds. Proven success in the classroom. Collaborative attitude towards teaching and learning. A commitment to providing a world-class education through reform. Nice to Haves: Exceptional student achievement records in high-performing charter networks. KIPP Miami offers competitive salaries starting at $55,000 for first-year teachers, with additional performance-based compensation. Benefits include health care, a 403(B) plan, and a school laptop.
