What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Research and identify potential school and district partners, initiating outreach through calls, emails, and social media
Qualify prospects by understanding their needs and set up appointments for Account Managers
Establish rapport with educators and administrators to promote the value of Scholastic Reading Events
Maintain accurate records of interactions in the CRM system and track progress toward sales goals
Collaborate with the sales team to align outreach strategies and improve lead generation efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail or territory sales, event management, or customer service
Proficiency with MS Office software and experience with sales automation or CRM tools
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with peers, superiors, and customers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
Proven leadership ability and qualities demonstrated in previous roles
Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
