Sr. Inside Sales Representative, FDO
role at
Vertiv . The Sr. Inside Sales Representative, FDO supports the sales team in guiding customers through the entire sales cycle. The role maintains and expands existing customer accounts within the assigned base with a primary focus on retaining customer business. It also works directly with customer opportunities to provide new equipment proposals and respond to customer questions or requests. The position provides a significant sales support function to help outside sales representatives improve productivity by acting as the primary interface between the office and sales operations and the order entry functions.
Responsibilities
Develop and grow the sales pipeline with the sales team to consistently meet revenue goals. Build quotes to bid on new business opportunities and generate incremental revenue. Communicate prospective and lost revenue to Outside Sales Representatives and General Manager as needed. Collaborate with marketing to build a customer database within defined market segments. Assist in promotional materials generation and customer communications as required. Coordinate with the sales team on key events (tradeshows, distributor showcases, Lunch-N-Learns) including scheduling and office event planning. Review order acknowledgements for accuracy and track orders for shipments, coordinating with outside sales and traffic for special handling or expediting. Monitor orders on credit/contract hold and assist customers with credit/accounting questions. Review inventory, shipping, and manufacturing timelines to ensure delivery aligns with customer expectations. Leverage internal data sources and proactively identify contacts from external sources. Coordinate with resellers and/or Vertiv field sales on opportunities; generate, update and track CRM opportunities. Respond promptly to requests from assigned region(s) and prepare mailings as required. Coordinate the purchase of buy-out equipment as part of project orders; assist with mis-ships, damaged shipments, and startup/commissioning coordination as needed. Coordinate invoice resolution efforts with accounts receivable/collections and outside sales to minimize unsettled payments. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
BA or BS required (Business, Engineering, Marketing, Communications preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1+ years of work experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent customer service, organizational, and analytical skills Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of technology including software, hardware, and/or networking is preferred Proficient in MS Office
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years sales or account management experience Experience with IT resellers Experience with CRM management Proficient with MS Visio Experience with order entry tools like Oracle or Salesforce
