We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to drive growth with small and emerging chain (under 25 units) restaurants and key distributors in major metro markets.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in foodservice sales, understands ingredient customization, and thrives in a consultative sales environment. They will leverage our culinary expertise and R&D capabilities to create value-added partnerships that drive customer success and revenue growth.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to grow business with small restaurant chains and foodservice distributor OpCos.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging insights into menu trends, ingredient solutions, and operational challenges.
Position our company as a trusted partner by partnering with our cross-functional team and the customer to customize ingredient solutions that enhance flavor, efficiency, and profitability for customers.
Drive sales performance, meet revenue targets, and expand market share in designated metro markets.
Customer Relationship Management
Cultivate strong relationships with restaurant operators, culinary teams, and distributor sales representatives.
Conduct menu ideation sessions and product demonstrations to showcase how our ingredient solutions drive differentiation and operational efficiency.
Partner with distributors to enhance product visibility, support training, and grow penetration within their customer base.
Act as the voice of the customer; working cross-functionally with R&D, Culinary, and Supply Chain teams to align with customer teams and develop customer solutions based on their needs.
Solution Selling & Market Insights
Utilize a consultative, solution-selling approach to address customer pain points and position our products as a strategic fit.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and menu innovation to provide strategic recommendations to customers.
Collaborate with Marketing to develop targeted sales materials and promotional programs that support customer engagement.
Operational Execution & Reporting
Manage forecasting and sales pipeline using CRM tools to ensure accurate tracking of opportunities and revenue projections.
Work closely with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure smooth execution of orders and product availability.
Provide regular updates on sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to leadership.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field required.
Minimum five (5) demonstrated success in consultative selling to small restaurant chains and food service distributors.
Experience working cross-functionally with R&D, Culinary, Marketing, PMO (Commercialization) and Supply Chain teams.
Strong knowledge of foodservice distribution and restaurant operations, with the ability to navigate purchasing processes and menu development.
Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships and drive growth in a competitive market.
Self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including formal presentation skills before both small and large groups
Able to excel in a fast-paced environment while having excellent organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, CRM Tools (Salesforce or similar) and data analysis to drive decision making.
