Fiscal Analyst 5 / Project Term Limited
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Potential for hybrid schedule.
What You Will Be Doing
Lead development, coordination, and oversight of all agency-specific training, procedures, and documentation related to the implementation of the Workday financial system.
Act as the Finance subject‑matter expert (SME) and primary liaison between WSHS, the OneWA Office of Financial Management, internal business units, IT staff, and external contractors to ensure financial system requirements and agency business needs are accurately addressed.
Interpret, analyze, and validate financial business processes and data in accordance with GAAP, federal regulations and Washington state rules, and internal policies.
Lead finance team efforts in system testing, data conversion, validation, and post‑implementation support for Workday financial modules.
Develop and implement new procedures, processes, and manuals for accounting and budget staff that reflect Workday functionality.
Deliver WSHS‑specific training on Workday financial workflows and facilitate all‑staff training events before go‑live.
Qualifications
9 years of combined experience and/or education, including at least 3 years of professional state or public sector accounting.
Experience in at least 2 of the following areas: project planning, policy analysis, business policy development, business operations, training, or business analysis.
Strong written and oral communication skills, customer‑service orientation, and ability to follow financial rules and regulations.

Preferred
2+ years working with Workday foundational data models.
Experience with Washington state financial systems such as the Agency Financial Reporting System (AFRS).
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
