Practice Innovation Attorney

to join our team. This role focuses on helping attorneys integrate Artificial Intelligence and other innovative technologies into their practice. The Practice Innovation Attorney will identify opportunities for the application of emerging legal technologies and drive adoption to enhance productivity and client outcomes. This role also involves piloting new tools, promoting firm-wide adoption, and providing research support through O’Melveny’s "AI as a Service" to attorneys, paralegals, and other firm departments. Responsibilities

Collaborate with attorney practice groups, clients and cross-functional teams to identify use cases and assist with the development, design, and deployment of innovative technology solutions, such as AI. Participate in the development and implementation of group and one-on-one training sessions to educate attorneys and business professionals on the use of legal technologies and AI solutions. Curate and develop a collection of materials, resources, and best practices to support the effective use of approved legal technologies and AI solutions. Provide substantive research through O’Melveny’s “AI as a Service” program as well as traditional research assistance to attorneys and business professionals. Monitor and report on the emerging legal technologies landscape and service delivery models to find potential innovation opportunities. Create current awareness alerts for monitoring of legal or industry topics. Identify attorney training opportunities by analyzing research request data and aligning with practice group goals and objectives. Develop and present training sessions to the firm’s attorneys and business professionals, with flexibility to accommodate presentations outside of regular U.S. business hours to support the firm’s international presence. Assist with review and analysis of information resource contracts. Provide support on other projects or duties as assigned. Periodic monitoring of research workflow after hours can be expected. Qualifications

JD degree is required. Master’s Degree in Library Science preferred. At least 2 years of experience as a corporate or litigation attorney, or legal researcher in a transactional legal environment is required. Experience with emerging and advanced legal technologies and research resources, particularly AI and automation solutions. Strong command of technology and interest in innovation. Ability to work under time constraints and in a fast-paced and service oriented environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to accuracy and detail. Strong organization skills, adept at multi-tasking and prioritization. Service-oriented, responsive, with initiative and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated experience in organizational, team and individual growth mindsets. Highly collaborative with a focus on knowledge sharing and functioning as a team. Comfortable with continuous learning, active participation, experimentation and change in a supportive and dynamic environment. Ability to work both independently and under specific guidance based on the business requirements. Compensation

Base pay range: $125,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr. The salary range in CA for this role is $125,000 - $175,000 and represents the firm’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Employment details
