Certified Infant / Toddler Assistant Teacher
to join our professional team of educators. This role offers an opportunity to be part of our mission-driven team at Godine ELC and JCC Greater Boston, serving a diverse community. The ideal candidate is a dedicated educator passionate about supporting children's development in a nurturing environment. As a Certified Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher, you will help shape the educational and social-emotional growth of our students, collaborate with a team of educators, and develop engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans. This is a full-time, salaried position with a starting salary of $43,000-$44,625, depending on experience and qualifications. We also have part-time openings in various roles. Primary Responsibilities include: Collaborate with co-teachers and directors to develop high-quality programs supporting child development. Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and document children’s interactions. Assess developmental stages, maintain records, and produce evaluations using COR Advantage. Follow best practices and regulations, maintain a vibrant classroom environment, and manage behavior positively. Assist with documenting learning and updating child files. Use age-appropriate activities to foster exploration and development. Build positive relationships with families and support transitions. Maintain professionalism, support organizational goals, and participate in meetings. Qualifications: ECE Certification or eligibility to become certified immediately. High School Diploma or equivalent; A.A. in Early Childhood Education preferred. Relevant experience and skills in child development, communication, and teamwork. Physical and Other Requirements: Ability to work in person at the Newton site, including outdoor duties. Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift children up to 30 pounds.
