The Position: Sales Manager Overview AKIRA Sales Managers are fanatical sales people, goal-driven & servant leaders. They ensure that our customers are styled by experts who eat, sleep, and breathe fashion. We live to make our customers look & feel good! They relentlessly hire & train to keep the store staffed with top‑notch talent and lead by example, acting like owners to achieve both personal and store goals.
Responsibilities
Recruit, interview, and hire new employees & managers.
Train, develop, and retain top‑notch employees & managers.
Maintain a high store morale.
Reinforce and improve the selling culture through our 5 steps of selling.
Deliver immediate and written feedback.
Act as a supreme motivator for employees & managers.
Ensure store operations and visual presentation meet AKIRA’s standards.
Uphold and enforce all AKIRA policies.
Achieve & surpass individual sales goals.
Achieve & surpass the store’s daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
Lead by example to promote and exemplify AKIRA’s culture and code of conduct through our 4 principles.
Requirements
Passion for fashion.
Fanatical work ethic.
Strong leadership skills.
Excellent communication & organizational skills.
High motivation and a sense of urgency.
Minimum of 1 year experience in retail management.
Ability to supervise, motivate, & direct employees effectively.
Adaptability to new directions and embrace change.
In‑depth knowledge of visual merchandising & customer service.
In‑depth knowledge of store operations including inventory control, loss prevention, retail systems, & store budget preparation.
Ability to work in a highly entrepreneurial, hands‑on environment.
Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with employees & managers.
Physical Requirements
Move product, supplies, or boxes repetitively; push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Stand & walk for extended periods, including a 10–12 hour shift.

Job Type Full Time
Starting pay: $48,000–$60,000 annually, adjustable based on experience, qualifications, and other factors. Additional compensation and benefits may apply and will be discussed during the hiring process.
