Assistant Residence Manager

Essential Functions:
Assisting in maximizing the functioning of mentally/physically handicapped adults.
Ensuring quality services to all residents.
Assigning work to DSPs and overseeing Shift Supervisors.
Providing staff supervision and oversight of the residence in the absence of the Residence Manager or in conjunction with them.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams on treatment/behavioral plans and overall care.
Monitoring staff to ensure goals and behavioral support plans are implemented correctly.
Attending meetings at schools and day treatment programs and communicating professionally with them.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in OPWDD-related fields, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
Competency in documentation, communication, and basic mathematical skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and second shifts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform physical tasks and provide physical care for clients.
Work Environment:
Noise levels and hazards are typical of office, health, or industrial environments. Performance is evaluated annually based on competencies and NADSP ethics.
