Brief Job Description:
The Club at Mediterra, a multiple award-winning private club located in Naples, Florida, has an opening for a Beverage Manager/Sommelier to join our dynamic team.
The candidate would be a proactive member of the Leadership team with the ability to identify areas of opportunities and propose solutions with minimum guidance. The Beverage Manager is responsible for all beverage aspects of the Food and Beverage operations including a la carte and events. The position requires a highly motivated individual with exceptional communication skills, superior internal and external customer service relationships and the ability to work in a high-performance team setting.

Our Beverage Operation:
Annual beverage sales – $1.8 million
Wine cellar with over 650 wine labels and 4,500 bottles of wine
Private member Wine Store
Specific beverage and signature cocktail programs at three separate campuses to include the Main Golf Club, Beach Club and Sports Club
Private member resident wine cellar evaluation and assistance
Multiple wine events annually, with featured vintners and winemakers
Chef’s Table – customized dining experience with wine pairings
The Person We Are Looking For:
Leads by example with professional presence and enthusiasm
Displays knowledgeable floor presence with positive Member and Guest interaction
Manages and directs all beverage related services:
Planning, implementing, and maintaining processes that enhance our services and overall member satisfaction
Oversee daily beverage service operations and ensure quality standards for wines and liquors
Assist in developing the Wine List and product selection
Conduct monthly beverage inventories, pricing, cost controls, requisitioning and issuing for production and beverage service
Curates creative craft beverage menus specific to our various dining outlets
Organizes promotional campaigns for wine events and sales to ensure profitability, quality standards, and member satisfaction
Daily commitments to create a continuous teaching environment that focuses on team knowledge and education
Displays transparent communication to the Food and Beverage Leadership Team and Senior Management
Works closely with the Senior Event Team on all relate banquet beverage items
What We Would Like You To Have:
Sommelier Certification preferred
Associate or Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Hospitality Management preferred
A minimum of three years’ management experience in the Hospitality industry at a highly respected private club or “four-star” hotel/resort
Current Beverage Management experience
The ability to handle a fast-paced, high-end food and beverage environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Microsoft Office proficiency
Appropriate personal presence with a desire and ability to interact effectively with members, guests and staff
The ability to adapt to surroundings and manage staff accordingly
The willingness, flexibility, and availability to work extended hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays
Well-rounded problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset
OSHA Requirements: Ability to lift, push upwards of 35 pounds regularly; ability to stand for extended periods of time; ability to tolerate all seasonal weather conditions with indoor and outdoor activity
