ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE: Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and pricing processes for all areas of the store. Experts enable efficient delivery to guests by supporting pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work. The role of a General Merchandise Expert can provide you with the skills and experiences described below. Responsibilities
Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks. Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and provide excellent guest service. Thank guests and communicate appreciation for their visit. Execute daily tasks to support business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing backrooms, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas. If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures. Maintain processes such as changing prices, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed. Learn how operations affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability. Be knowledgeable about resources, products, and services available in the total store to resolve issues and improve the guest experience. Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards. Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking/packing orders, or delivering pickup orders) while complying with applicable laws. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to resolve guest questions quickly on the spot. Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes. Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks within timeframes. Physical and Work Environment
Ability to handle cash operations as needed. Ability to climb stairs/ladders as required. Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 44 pounds with or without assistance. Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) and reliable attendance. Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, including drive-up and pickup areas. Benefits and Accessibility
