Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in‑stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest‑first culture across the store. Experience in retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement. Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals. Typical Responsibilities

Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks. When guests need assistance, engage with them in a welcoming way to solve their specific needs. Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target. Execute daily tasks assigned by your leader to achieve business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and posting promotional signs for GM areas. If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures. Execute processes such as changing prices, merchandise set‑up and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed by your leader. Learn how operational procedures—setting up and organizing merchandise, managing product stock levels, and maintaining sales floor areas—affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability. Be knowledgeable about the resources, products, and services available in the store and in your area to solve guest issues and improve the guest experience. Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. Work safely at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct them where possible. Support guest services such as backup cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking, packing, or delivering pickup orders) while maintaining compliance culture and adult beverage laws. Perform other duties based on business needs. What We Are Looking For

Work both independently and with a team. Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot. Attention to detail and follow multi‑step processes. Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes. Other Expectations

Accurately handle cash register operations as needed. Climb up and down ladders. Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without assistance. Maintain a flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable and prompt attendance. Perform work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other conditions while completing duties such as Drive‑Up and carryout. Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary). Benefits
