POSITION SUMMARY: As a Housekeeper at our Assisted Living Facility, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of resident rooms, common areas, and other facility spaces. This position will report to the Housekeeping Supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to all components of the above position summary the following “Essential Duties and Responsibilities” are essential to successful performance in this position Clean and sanitize resident rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and changing bed linens. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in common areas such as lounges, dining areas, hallways, and restrooms. Perform regular cleaning tasks, such as emptying trash bins, cleaning windows, and polishing surfaces. Follow established protocols and safety guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel promptly. Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures to maintain a hygienic environment. Assist in monitoring and replenishing housekeeping supplies, including toiletries, towels, and cleaning products. Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate cleaning schedules and prioritize tasks effectively. Uphold the privacy and confidentiality of residents’ personal belongings and information. Provide excellent customer service and respond to resident inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner. May need to move furniture to ensure cleanliness of designated areas. Support with additional duties as needed. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent in this position does not have any direct supervision. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment used in a professional setting. Understanding of infection control practices and safety protocols. Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong verbal communication skills and ability to interact with residents and staff in a professional manner. Dependability and punctuality in adhering to assigned work schedules. Respect for resident privacy and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CREDENTIALS

At least 18 years of age. Required Health Screening, TB Clearance, and Criminal Record Clearance. Any special licenses, certifications, and certificates (First Aid/ CPR Certified). Special skills needed to meet client needs [California Code of Regulations Sections: 85065(f)/87411(g)]. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work, preferably in health care or senior living setting. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Stand and walk for long periods of time. Stamina and physical fitness. Strength and dexterity. Mobility and range of motion. Endurance. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Push and pull up to 50 lbs. BENEFITS
