Overview
AGRICULTURE ASSOCIATE II - Thompson Research Farm at University of Missouri-Columbia. Located at the Thompson Research Farm in Spickard, MO. The Northern Missouri Research, Extension and Education Center (NM-REEC) seeks an Agriculture Associate II to assist with coordinating the duties of farm workers and with sampling and inspection of fertilizer or other farm program components. Skilled experience with cattle is required; shop experience and mechanical abilities are preferred. Responsibilities
Understands how tasks/activities relate to others on the team and how the team integrates with other related, similar teams. Organizes and completes structured assignments according to priorities and directives from the university. Maintains records and reports of agricultural findings. Provides solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring. Evaluates and selects solutions from established options/procedures. Impacts the efficiency and accuracy of own work and begins to impact the work of others. Regularly assists others as requested to perform a range of routine, non-technical agricultural activities. Provides information to and exchanges information with appropriate and/or various parties. Job responsibilities listed herein are a general description of typical duties, responsibilities, qualifications, and physical demands of the incumbents but should not be considered all-encompassing as actual responsibilities may additionally include other duties as assigned. Shift
M-F; 40 hours per week. Some nights and weekends required. Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with care and management of cattle is required. Shop and mechanic experience preferred. Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $14.80 - $25.84 hourly. Salary is determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements. Total compensation includes benefits. Benefits and Other Information
