Legends, in partnership with Kansas Athletics, will optimize revenue generation and curate experiences for Jayhawk fans. The initiative includes premium product development, pricing and sales, premium seating, ticket sales, annual fund donations, marketing strategy, and business intelligence for all ticketed sporting events.
The Role The Ticketing & Fundraising Specialist is primarily responsible for driving revenue and hitting sales goals around the season, group, premium ticket, donation, and hospitality packages for Kansas Athletics. The role engages, services and solicits existing Kansas Athletics donors and ticket holders, while identifying new prospective donors. It focuses on building relationships, servicing all Kansas supporters, driving revenue for Kansas Athletics, and representing Legends and the University of Kansas. The position reports to the Director, Sales, Service, & Retention.
Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for offering a full menu of seating opportunities for Kansas Football, Men’s Basketball, and all other ticketed sports.
Coordinate and execute sales calls on all potential customers through prospecting, cold calling, and referrals from current customers.
Identify and manage a portfolio of new prospects and existing donors to provide excellent customer service and drive revenue through the sales of ticket and donation offerings.
Effectively use Salesforce CRM to accurately record all client and prospect interactions.
Participate and contribute in weekly sales meetings and training sessions.
Work with Kansas Athletic Department team members to promote and generate sales on all events while providing a great fan experience.
Assist with administrative ticket functions.
Assist with special projects or duties as assigned by the Director, Sales, Service, & Retention.
Entertain and nurture relationships with current donors and prospects through creative means including networking events, speaking engagements, prospect sampling at games, seat visits at games, open houses at stadiums, and outside meetings.
Work non-traditional hours, weekends, events and game days as required.
Maintain a level of activity (calls made/appointments set) and achieve goals.

Serve as a main point of contact for general athletic ticket inquiries via inbound calls, email, and social media
Set and conduct in-stadium, arena and out-of-office sales appointments
Effectively use Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactions
Reach and exceed individual and team sales revenue goals
Assist with managing and stewarding existing season ticket members and donors
Prospect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, and follow up on leads provided by partner organization
Handle a heavy volume of outbound and inbound calls and emails
Strong time management and organizational skills
Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
Ability to effectively communicate with C-level clients
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
1-2 years of sales experience preferred
