Staff Accountant Birmingham, Alabama $60,000 - $70,000 Our client, a leading local healthcare group, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional with at least two years of experience who is eager to expand their skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment. As Staff Accountant, you’ll play a hands-on role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll and compliance processes, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the accounting function. What You’ll Do
Maintain and update the general ledger by accurately recording daily financial activity Support payroll processing Post incoming payments and deposits, ensuring accuracy between the accounting platform and billing system Perform timely bank reconciliations and resolve any variances between bank statements and internal records Review and analyze financial data to spot errors, inconsistencies, or unusual trends Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all practices comply with established financial regulations and healthcare requirements What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience Familiarity with payroll platforms preferred Strong attention to detail with the ability to problem-solve and identify discrepancies Excellent organizational and communication skills Why Join
