Magellan Health . This position provides personal financial services at assigned military installations. Primary responsibilities include delivering the full spectrum of personal financial counseling to military service members and their families at military installations. Services include one-on-one counseling, consultations with a commander or other provider/staff, conducting briefings and presentations, and providing referral resources outside the counseling session context. The counselor collaborates with installation leadership and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to ensure the program operates within scope and meets installation needs.

Responsibilities

Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families. Assist service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences. Develop and provide informational financial materials to service members and families. Coordinate, publicize, and deliver a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops (e.g., topics across the military lifecycle such as arrival at first duty station, pre- and post-deployment, and events outlined in DoDI 1322.34). Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars. Utilize virtual counseling or electronic communication modes (web-based, secure online chat, video-based communications, secure video teleconference) as authorized by the customer; Virtual PFC support may require approval from the OSD FINRED Program office. Manage duty-to-warn situations according to DoD protocol. Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision, sharing trends and issues from the installations served. Participate in regular in-services/training, quality improvement committees, or other contract activities as assigned. All other duties as assigned. Note:

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required. May consider applicants with an associate degree plus 4 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree. May consider applicants with a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree. 3+ years of financial counseling experience. Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English; bilingual in English and Spanish if required by contract. Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation. Must be able to pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process. One of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Salary

Salary Range: Minimum $53,125; Maximum $84,995 Note: This information reflects the anticipated base salary range; actual pay may vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and other factors. Short-term incentives and comprehensive benefits may apply.
