This position involves the following duties: Interview loan applicants Collect and analyze customer income, assets, investments, or debts Determine the best bank product to meet customer needs Advise customers on the advantages and disadvantages of different products Knowledge of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guidelines and government products Preliminarily assess applicant creditworthiness and issue prequalification statements Establish relationships with realtors, builders, community development corporations, and potential mortgage customers for loan referrals Process loan requests in accordance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and secondary market guidelines Adhere to quality customer service standards and bank policies Participate in community events and real estate industry functions to promote business Attend training on residential lending products; travel may be required Inform management about new market products to maintain competitiveness Promote and cross-sell other bank products Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor Maintain expertise in mortgage products, services, and regulatory guidelines Apply problem-solving skills to identify client needs and resolve issues Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and team members Respond promptly to customer inquiries in demanding environments Handle customer and employee interactions tactfully and professionally Ensure compliance with bank policies, conduct codes, and regulations Assist colleagues through positive interactions Engage in marketing efforts and professional development Seek opportunities for skill enhancement through cross-training Perform other duties as directed by management
