Senior Accountant, Accounting Policy – Dealership Location: Medford or Portland/Tigard (Open to remote based within Oregon). Compensation: $80,000-$90,000. We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Policy team to shape the future of financial governance across our expanding business. This role is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for building structure and consistency in financial practices. As an individual contributor, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders, perform accounting research, and ensure policies are communicated and applied effectively. You’ll work closely with the Senior Manager, Accounting Policy, while gaining broad exposure to finance management and opportunities for career advancement. What You’ll Do
Develop, establish, and document accounting policies, incorporating stakeholder feedback and required changes. Perform US GAAP research and document any non-GAAP accounting policy deviations. Maintain and update the accounting policy manual with approved changes. Provide guidance on accounting policies and align practices across multiple business lines. Coordinate with technical accounting to ensure ERP chart of accounts align with FCCS, making adjustments as needed. Support quarterly topside adjustments for SEC reporting, as required. Create rollout plans for new policy implementation and monitor compliance. Provide detailed guidance on general ledger coding for programs and incentives. What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of relevant accounting experience. Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and business operations. CPA designation preferred. Strong time management, attention to detail, and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with major ERP and accounting systems desired. Demonstrated ability to work with urgency and deliver accurate results in a fast-paced environment. We Offer Benefits
