Overview
Financial Analyst
– Singing River Health System, Gautier, MS. Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Location: 2101 Highway 90, Gautier, Mississippi, 39553, United States. The Financial Analyst coordinates data, research and analysis to reduce costs, improve quality, and further the goals and objectives of SRHS. The Analyst is primarily responsible for the utilization, maintenance and reporting capabilities of the decision support software system, with focus on the clinical data contained in the software system and the uses thereof.
Responsibilities
Perform database and statistical queries to evaluate trends to support development and improvement of clinical and operational outcomes.
Extract and compile clinical and operational data from a variety of data sources for reporting purposes.
Assist in the ongoing evaluation of products, programs, and/or clinical initiatives relevant to the healthcare market.
Assist in problem solving, solution development, decision making, and strategic planning.
Contribute in gathering and reporting benchmarking statistics to internal and external sources.
Qualifications
Education : High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Accounting experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
License : N/A
Certification : Must have de-escalation training by end of position orientation (90 days); must have appropriate level of de-escalation training.
Experience : Two (2) to four (4) years accounting experience preferred.
Physical Demands : Moderate activity; ability to sit, move about, travel within SRHS service area; ability to lift/move objects; exposure to body fluids; repetitive motions; close visual acuity; ability to work extended periods.
Mental Demands : Keen mental faculties, strong communication skills, emotional stability, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; attention to detail and multi-tasking.
Special Demands : Superior customer service, proficient computer skills (keyboard, MS Outlook and Word), travel within SRHS service area with own transportation.
