Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and open the kitchen. Prepare various meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other foods using kitchen equipment. Ensure the quality of all food products. Follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen rules. Adhere to Salvation Army policies and procedures. Maintain accurate inventory of food supplies to prevent shortages and ensure freshness. Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience in food preparation and cooking. Effective communication skills with team members, volunteers, and clients. Physical ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 3 hours). Knowledge of diverse recipes and kitchen sanitation standards. Strong organizational and conflict management skills. Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Additional Details
