Tax – Business Tax Services – Private Tax HNWI - Manager The opportunity EY Private Tax is a growing practice within EY, and you’ll see that growth reflected in your career. The team focuses on privately held companies, their owners and families, ranging from family-owned businesses to private equity owned companies. These clients are high-growth private companies, from start-ups to multi-billion-dollar global private enterprises. You’ll work on technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects, as part of a growing global team, with opportunities for cross-border and cross-functional collaboration. EY supports your development in technical tax knowledge, leadership, and business acumen. Your Key Responsibilities Researching tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies Translating complex data from a range of sources into client-ready insights and deliverables Building effective long-term relationships with clients, understanding their needs to provide tailored service Communicating complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients Maintaining your reputation by updating and sharing technical knowledge and best practices Managing, coaching and developing a team of tax professionals, reviewing work and ensuring they have the tools they need to excel Identifying and reacting to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes Skills And Attributes For Success To qualify for the role, you must have A bachelor’s degree in a related field, with significant tax, business or financial planning experience A CPA certification or membership in The Bar Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization Experience with federal and state personal and trust taxation Experience with flow-through entities (S-Corps, Partnerships, LLCs) A thorough understanding of automated tax processing systems Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus A commitment to continuing your learning Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, and the confidence to challenge senior colleagues and stakeholders Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment Ideally, you’ll also have A proven record in a professional services environment Experience in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues Strong analytical skills and attention to detail The ability to adapt your work style to collaborate with internal and client teams What We Look For Tax professionals who provide outstanding services to influential clients, from C-Suite executives to owners and families, acting as trusted advisors to maintain and enhance EY’s reputation for excellence What We Offer You Comprehensive compensation and benefits package. Base salary ranges: $106,500-$195,100 across the US; higher ranges in NYC Metro, WA, and CA.
