Controller (with a Path to CFO) at a well-established commercial truck dealership network serving the Midwest. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving financial accuracy, ensuring compliance, and providing insights that inform strategic decision-making. Base pay range: $110,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr About the role
To support ongoing growth and operational complexity, our client is seeking a Controller to oversee and strengthen their financial management functions. Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting. Research technical accounting issues for compliance. Support month-end and year-end close process. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Additional duties as necessary. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. CPA or CPA tracking is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role. Proven experience with financial statement preparation, annual budgeting, and ledger/GL management. Strong knowledge of accounting and financial best practices, laws, and standards. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software and applications. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and strategic planning skills. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Benefits
